Can't Find Seed Guards for Bird Cages
Love your site. I have bought two large flight cages from you guys about 2 years ago. They are both the same size and the total circumference of either is 106 inches.
Thet measure 21 by 21 by 32 by 32 and about 3 ft high. The closest model # I could find on your site was model 16421, but mine are two completly separate cages.
I despeately need seed catcers/apron things for them. The ones you sell on your site are about 5-10 inches shorter than what i need., the largest stopping at 100 inches.
Can you refer me to a place that cal sell me two106' diameter aprons. I would prefer to put it on from ther bottom of the cages and just take it off when I clean the cages.
I have tried plastic stripping, but it only curls up onver time ans is just not effective. Other aprons tend to be either too short so the seed scaters anyway or the seed just spews out from the space on the bottom betweenthe cage and apron.
Can you make two sturdy QUALITY seed aprons, large circumferece , deep enough and prefereably a see through matyerial?? If so, can you qoute me a price? . The mess on the floor is that bad. I really enjoy your site and want to give you my business. Thanks.

Hi Patrick:
Thank you for contacting us
and for the kind words
Unfortunately we have no source for these at this time. The vendor we were getting them from has retired. What we are sugesting to people is to get plastic panels - not strips (Menards/Home depot/True Value etc)
Cut them the length of each cage side and about 6 inches wide. Drill holes in each of the four corners and attach witjh "s" hooks or cable ties
Also consider less seed more pellets & fresh food. Move the food dishes to the bottom of the cage and place on top of a piece of news paper directly on the grill so more goes into the tray and less on the floor

Hi. After many bruised knees I removed the seed guards from my cage and went to Menard's, bought a sheet of the thinner plexi-glass, and a cutter. Cut them to fit between the bottom grate and the seed tray. I used sticky Velcro that I cut in half length wise. Edged the plexi with it and the cage on the outside. Perfect fit easy to remove and the dog can't get in there either. If you don't want to use a lot of velcro, you can just buy the little circular velcro tabs and put in on at key spots.
