I LOVE THIS SKEWER. Bead spinners allow one to spin a container and slide tiny beads onto a needle quickly. I use a big version of a bead spinner made out of take-out container, plastic pipe, and a "lazy Susan" to make a pasta spinner.
Before I leave in the mornings, I load the skewers in, literally, seconds with little ring pasta (like anellini, but small as I can find, think Spaghetti-Os) with rigatoni slid over the rings. I also use fiori, rotelle, or stelle pasta if I can find them in the right size to go on a skewer. The birds love sliding apart the big rigatoni to pop the hundred small ring pasta off the skewer.
If pasta is too small to "jump" onto the metal kabob I load a bamboo skewer, then slide the pasta from the bamboo to the stainless kabob. The birds love it, and pasta doesn't rot or attract pests--and it's 80 cents a pound!
