Adding Finches Need Bigger Aviary
|
Hi, I raise Gouldian Finches. I have 4 pair and have been using a hexagonal aviary. Presently I am in the process of acquiring some blue capped. I wish to increase my aviary size and use space more economically. I am when looking to acquire a coroner cage to use up one wall. Any assistance or input you may be able to give, I am sure it would be helpful. I also noted where one reviewer said the Prevue had a 1 inch gap. Is that true? Sincerely, Vickie ZHi Vickie - Thanx for the email The Prevue F030 bird aviary cage (above) has the following dimensions Overall dimensions: 42" x 32" x 68" High. Interior: 37-1/4" x 27-1/2" x 49" High 3/8" bar spacing making it "roughly" 27 cubic feet of Interior space ![]() The Indoor Aviary 40"x30" x 6 Foot Tall for Small to Medium Birds AE-4030FL has the following dimensionsDimensions: 40" wide x 30" deep x 72" high making it "roughly" 45 Cubic Feet That said the AE has only a slightly larger foot print, but has about 80% more interior size than the Prevue F030. The gap at the bottom of the Prevue F030 is not quite 3/4" and Finches in general don't spend a lot of time on the bottom of the cage so it's not really an issue. This is the corner cage we have with the smallest bar spacing 5/8" which would probably be too wide for Finches Parrot Corner Cage 5/8" Bar Spacing w/ Play Top AE CC2727
