Budgie Loves this Kabob
| My parakeets loved the kabob. I put it in the cage an hour before they went to bed and when I got home from work the next day, they had chewed it down so 3" of cord was exposed. Watching the video really sold me on trying the kabob. Next time I think I'll separate and put one kabob out at a time and I want to get the big nesting log. Hopefully that would last a week. I haven't put the paper rings in yet and they haven't touched the vine balls yet.  I like the millet cage clips too. I had got metal ones because that's all Pet smart sells and one of the birds got her foot caught in it when I had fruit in it and she must have chewed through and it closed. Fortunately the edges didn't line up so her foot wasn't in the vice grip but got stuck between the two uneven edges and...I was home and heard her flapping right away. Thank you for all your hard work keeping a bird specialty store open for us Dear Joyce Thank you for the kind words, after a long hard day trying to satisfy everyone and their birds needs, words like yours make us feel we are doing the right thing. The Wesco Bird Kabob. What I have done is snip the string, and then skewer one Wesco slice at a day (maybe one every day or two) onto this stainless steel item (the short would be fine for budgies, tiels) which keeps it off the floor of the cage and clean until they chew it up. |
