Bird Travel Carriers for Conures
I am living in Florida for the winter only. I have an 8 mos old painted conure, (a little smaller than a green cheeked), and an 8 mos old senegal in the same cage. They have been together since weaning. The conure attacks the sennie's feet and the sennie just hollers and tries to get away. Most of the time they love each other. I would like to separate them but I am in a small trailer and I would have to place a cage on top of the other. Would your travel cage, 601, be suitable for the little conure to live in for 6 mos, getting out for playtimes, of course? I can't go higher than 15"H.
You are lucky to escape the cold already, it is chilly here in Chicago.
RE: the birds, I am surprised the Senegal does not snap back at the conure but they all have their own personalities. I do understand about this behavior. Had the same problem with two Molucan cockatoo's many years ago.
They wanted to be together but one was always yanking out blood feathers from the other bird. Had to separate them.
Your birds, unless let out during the day to see each other will only hollar (call out) to each other all day and if stacked one above the other will drive you loony. But you can try.
