School wants birdhouse cam

I am an avid birder and a classroom teacher.

I am interested in both the camera to use to watch birds at our feeders and/or in our bluebird nesting box. How is the cable run?  Must a hole be drilled through the buidling to run the cable into the classroom?

In our area, Savannah, Georgia, February begins the nesting season and our yearly pair are busily checking out our birhouse. (Urgent information needed)

Thanks Ann

Dear Ann Cobb:

You will have to create a way for the cable to enter your building to a PC so it may entail slipping the cable under a window, through an existing duct or vent ,or yes, a masonry bit, drilling a hole through a brick wall. Is there an outer building that can maintain a PC that can be the receiver?, If so, it only has to go there and set up for remote acces.

If the birdhouse and feeders are farther than the 100 feet  of cable that comes with the camera then you may wish to add an additional coil.

The cameras ship out of Oregon usually within 24 hours.

Thank you.
Catherine
