Hi Mitch:

I am getting contacts for the Federal Chair of Wildlife and also the Federal Chair of Agriculture in January from a former governor.  My plan is to formulate a report concerning this virus along with scientist and veterinarians.  This report will be then sent to the contacts in hopes to provide some legal restraints on breeding parrots carelessly.  The side effect of this is hopefully less abused  parrots.  I have 19 rescues right now.  Also hoping for more funds for the University of Georgia, Texas A&M and USC.  Let me know if you would like to participate, know of anyone, or help bring awareness of this virus.  I have documents from the universities which contain the latest information if you would like it.  Thanks and have a Merry Christmas!

In general I feel our legislators are not good at legislating – I’m not saying your project is without merit. I’m concerned that this idea could become the next HR 669. Wouldn’t everyone’s interest here be served by focusing on serving relevant information through social media channels, not legislation?
