Can I Freeze Bird Food Bugs dead?

My hubby had bought 'cheap' seed @ a farm supply store and brought the moths home, took me 2 years to finally get rid of them.

I put all the seed in the freezer.  Flour moths were a big enough pain, I don't need any other bugs here!

 ------------------------------------------------------------------------

If your freezer is not a deep freeze, the bugs will not be  killed if you are relying on a regular kitchen freezer to store your food,

The hatching of bug eggs that are normal in all bird seed (it grows outside) will not be halted fully, and once the food warms up again, nature will take its course.

If you can get the food into a deep freeze for at least 2-3 weeks the food will be useable and the bugs will be killed so it will not be waste. After all birds eat bugs in the wild.

Only if the food is all webby (like with moths) is the food considered worthless.
