We recently had a call from John at Essex County Trikes. Because I'm a bird guy and (motorized) bike guy he had my attention. He just purchased a couple of Hyacinths from an individual in Illinois.

His intent was to have the birds transported by airline but was told the insurance would be $3000.00 for the flight. We've never heard of fees like this. Has anyone had a similar experience?

In the meantime we have posted several pet transport companies websites, forwarded the information to John and wished him the best of luck.
