We hear this a lot - the reasons your bird needs to bathe are endless and we'll talk about the whys later. In the meantime here's a quick tip.

Place your bird in or near the sink and turn on the water - slow trickle, not a rush, tepid temperature. Then go turn on the vacumm. many birds feel the sound a vacuum makes is similar to that of rushing water. This sound  may help coax their little butts into taking a shower.
