If you have not visited Parrot Mountain and Gardens as of yet, GO, GO and GO! It is a wonderful sanctuary! Isabel and Fletch have a breeding program for endangered birds as well as a rescue. I would have paid double the admission. They are in dire need of donations to continue their efforts. So perhaps this blog will generate some financial support. You can "adopt" a parrot or two or more. I would fly back to TN just to visit with all the parrots!

I live in Sevierville, TN and have visited Parrot Mountain on many occasions. It is one of the most beautiful places on earth. The birds and the grounds are magnificent. It's almost like a piece of Heaven on Earth. I would recommend Partot Mountain without hesitation to anyone that visits this area.

I visited Parrot Mountain in July 09 and could have stayed all day long. It was wonderful and the admission is very reasonable. They have done a great job of creating a safe habitat for the birds, it was fun to interact with birds I would not normal have contact with and their baby nursery is adorable. Even if you are not a parrot or bird owner, you will enjoy this place. The staff is very courteous and knowledgeable, they give tour for groups and go out of their way to be helpful. I plan to go back next year and take some friends. Go Go Go.....you will not be sorry.

I have never seen a place like this!! I visited Parrot Mountain July 3, 2010. I own 2 parrots myself, African Grey's and I know how expensive it is to have these birds! These people take in unwanted parrots and give them a great home and do try to find homes for some of them. People do not realize how much it cost just to feed a parrot. They do NOT just eat seed. They have to have pellets, veggies, fruit, fresh water and a lot of other care like cleaning cages almost daily, as well as daily interaction with their people! These people at Parrot Mountain give all the birds the best of care as this is a dream place for the owners. The charge to get in helps to pay for the care of all of these parrots so I know it is well needed and the owners could not possibly be making money off of this. Anyone who thinks this place is over priced just does not know what it takes to give a parrot a good home!!! I love this place and WILL visit again!
